Climbing up the steps. Junagadh













Most of the pilgrims stop at the jain temples, but if you go ti the Shiva temple, the worst is to come, you must climb down a great part of the highness you had reached and climb up again! About 10 000 steps under the sun...a young girl loosed her knowledge in the temple when I was in.

Diu is an island owned during centuries by portuguese, it can be seen in architectury, way of life, language (some people are still speaking portuguese and people faces.
Really different from other places.

Bhuj have been very dammaged by the 2001 earthquake.

On the way to the Shiva temple. Junagadh













They were coming by feet from Himachal Pradesh, owners of nothing. We started together , but I was often stopping for shoting, everytime when I joined them again they said "how can you be so fast! We finally climb together. The problem is that you have to climb and climb to the top and you finally discover that you have to go down and up again to reach this temple (you see it on top of the hill).very friendly and intelligent people.
